Welcome Message

Since the birth of Bangladesh, the country has achieved an incredible growth in food production and reached towards self-sufficiency by the year 1990. Total food grain production rose from 10 million tons in 1971 to more than 31.3 million tons in 2006, which was gripped with per hectare yield of 1.05 tons in 1970-1971 to 2.64 tons per hectare in 2005-2006. This grand success has mainly been brought by the the farmers through using modern technologies developed by research organizations and effective Agricultural Extension Services of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE).

Stepping on the high way to information and communication technology today, DAE has switched over services towards e-Governance and prompt service to all categories of stakeholders. Primarily all offices at the headquarters are connected to a network and that for distract levels are going to be implemented very soon. Fast information flow to all extension personnel’s and farmers will obviously bring an enviable change in agricultural development. Our website will bring people for all sorts of information relevant to agricultural production, research, policy planning, trade, import, and human resources development activities. We hope this website will make worth to your need and Agricultural development in Bangladesh.
